Minister Fitzgerald announces Review of the Dept. of Justice & Equality

Frances Fitzgerald TD, Minister for Justice and Equality, has today announced that, in tandem with the wide ranging reforms of the justice system already in train, an Independent Review Group has been established to undertake a review of the Department itself.

Minister Fitzgerald meets Northern Ireland Secretary of State Theresa Villiers

Minister Frances Fitzgerald, T.D. and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, the Rt Hon Theresa Villiers, MP, met in Dublin today (May 29th) . This was their first meeting since Minister Fitzgerald's appointment as Minister for Justice and Equality.

The Minister and Secretary of State reviewed the security situation on the island and, in particular, the threat emanating from paramilitary groups.

Fitzgerald welcomes 260 new tech jobs at Citywest

Local TD Frances Fitzgerald, Minister for Justice & Equality, has today (27th May) welcomed the announcement by software company SAP that 260 new jobs will be created at its Citywest campus.

She said: “SAP is one of the world's leading providers of enterprise software, and these 60 highly skilled roles in predictive analytics, as well as 200 new tech support roles in the company’s business suite and cloud support teams, are to be warmly welcomed.
