UCD Golden & Diamond Celebrations (1961 & 1971)

Featuring alumni from the Classes of 61 and 71 in conversation and reminiscing with former broadcaster and arts manager, Doireann Ní Bhriain (BA 1970, HDip Ed 1971), widely known for presenting the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 amongst many other presenting and broadcasting roles.


Join us as we take a trip down memory lane with: - Dr Tony Scott, BSc in Experimental Physics, Class of 1961. Tony is co-founder of the Young Scientist Exhibition amongst many other achievements. - Charles Lysaght, BA in Arts, Class of 1961. Charles is a qualified barrister at King's Inns (Dublin) and Lincoln's Inn (London), a former educator, keen cricketer and columnist. - Éanna Ní Lamhna, BSc in Botany, Class of 1971. Éanna is an Irish biologist, environmental consultant, radio and TV presenter, author and educator. - As well as messages from Frances Fitzgerald MEP, BSocSci in Arts, Class of 1971 and Dr Desmond Green, BE in Chemical Engineering, Class of 1961.
