On Thursday 27th May 2021, I hosted an event entitled 'Harnessing the benefits of Blockchain for Ireland and Europe'. This seminar provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Blockchain in the time ahead. I chaired this event organised in conjunction with EPLO Ireland

The past few years has seen a huge surge of interest in blockchain technologies globally and here in Ireland. Blockchain technology presents a range of opportunities to provide solutions to problems across many sectors, including finance, supply-chain/logistics, healthcare and the not-for-profit / charity sector.
The EU believes that blockchain technology when properly used can provide significant benefits to European industry, the European economy, and to European society as a whole. For this reason, the European Commission is supporting blockchain on the policy, legal and regulatory, and funding fronts.
